TIPS // 01 - DOUBLE YOUR STARTER BAG SPACE
Almost double : from 30 to 50! But trust me, you'll definitely notice the difference!
Don't do anything with bag space before you save 5000 credits.
Don't worry, you'll obtain them quickly. Probably before you leave the first planet (Korriban, Tython, Ord Mantell, Hutta)
1 - Buy the first line with 5000 credits.
There's a HIDDEN PERK : you can buy bag space with credits SEVERAL TIMES even as Free2Play. The first line - 10 spaces - costs just 5000 credits.
Note : when you are a subscriber, you can buy more lines with credits, but each line will cost exponetially more.
Then, AND ONLY THEN
( as it will NOT work the other way round,)
2 - use the subscriber referral extra space token.
Referral = grants you a Welcome Gift, in the in-game mail.
Be SUPER CAREFUL NOT TO DELETE YOUR STARTING MAIL.
Open it. It contains different items. One of them is an extra inventory token.
3 - Ta Daa, you now have 50 units of bag space !

Note : Jedis need to take the starter taxi before reaching an area with a mailbox.

Notes about referral : you can choose ONE subscribing player as a referral. You can choose one online, or agree with a player in game. Many advertise vast sums of credits in exchange for choosing them (they get free cartel coins IF you subscribe, otherwise they get nothing), but be warned, there is much drama going on and many people have been scammed...
After you have chosen and clicked a referral, you can activate it once per character - it comes in the mail with every character you create.You also get 7 free days of additional sub time IF you subscribe within 14 days of your click.
After 90 days without subscription, you can click a new referral - which if you subscribe, should give you 7 free days of additional sub time.
(However, you only get the other gifts once)
TIPS // 02 - START OUT IN STYLE
There's some pretty AWESOME GEAR hidden on Fleet.
AND, you can "STAMP IT" on your char for a permanent look with "outfit designer".
Wait until you hit level 7, go to Fleet.
Go to the SUPPLIES section, ADAPTIVE GEAR VENDOR.It has 16 awesome armor sets per faction.You can even send armor to one of your fresh characters - even on the other faction !
The best to equip is the level 8 gear at 600 credits apiece. It is fully functional rating 32 gear, which will carry you to the end of your capital planet and around level 15.
These 4 sets - Acolyte, Warrior, Scout and Trainee -are bound to your character (only he or she can equip it)
You also have 16 legacy sets per faction - 16 republican sets on the Republican FleetsStation, 16 imperial sets on the Imperial Fleet station.
Those only cost 2500 credits per gear piece - a total of 17,500 for a full set.
But they can be used by your other characters - even on the other faction, and even at level 1 if accessible.
Which leads to : the Legacy Cargo, and your strongholds!
